A BIT ABOUT THE ALBUM...
...MANY OF THE SONGS ON OUR DEBUT ALBUM ARE ABOUT BARS, FRIENDS, AND HAVING NO MONEY, BECAUSE WE WERE STUDENTS AND THAT'S WHAT OUR LIVES WERE!

On the edge is all about being a female in the music industry, and how everything is so much more controlled and looked at, I am scrutinised so much more than if I was male. It's literally as if because I am a female I shouldn't be able to think for myself.

RIDE WAS NAMED AFTER OUR FAVOURITE BAR IN NOTTINGHAM, WE USED TO MEET UP EVERY MONDAY, IT WAS OUR FAVOURITE SPOT. £2.20 FOR A DESPERADOS, AND AN ABSOLUTE DIVE! BUT IT WAS OUR DIVE, AND PRETTY MUCH THE PLACE ALL BAND DECISIONS WERE MADE.
THE BAR CLOSED DOWN TO MAKE WAY FOR ANOTHER SWANKY COCKTAIL BAR, LEAVING US WITHOUT OUR FAVOURITE PLACE.
WE STARTED TO THINK ABOUT ALL THE GREAT MEMORIES THAT HAD BEEN MADE THERE, AND CREATED OUR MOST POPULAR TRACK BY ACCIDENT. THIS ONE WAS WRITTEN ABOUT OUR GOOD FRIEND WHO SPENT A WHOLE EVENING IN RIDE TOO SCARED TO TALK TO A GIRL SAT BY AT THE BAR.
